I LEARN ESSENTIAL THINGS

    

     ICT. Information Communication Technology. This is our subject in TLE IV we've been studying computer subject since 3rd year but when we are in the 4th year we move up into another level of technology. I learn a lot in the world of web, THE INTERNET. I discovered how powerful, how famous it is. I learn what is the history of the said internet, the different services that the internet can give. I believe that we are now in the modern world of computer and technology. 

    Studying ICT is not easy especially the computer terms. I admit that I am am ignorant in terms of computer. In ICT , it is my first time to encounter the online diary called blog. I learn that blog, it is the term that comes from "web blog". I was challenged of this computer terms so I made a research and be familiar with these terms.

     However these computer terms make my studies in ICT miserable. How can I operate a command if I don't know what it is for? I said to myself that it is time to leave the world of ignorance, it is the the time to discover and go beyond the line of modernization and technology. I've done, and pass by studying and discovering these terms by using the computer itself.

     When 3rd grading comes in our ICT subject. I encounter many problems and I was amazed of the new technologies that computer can make in our life. I learn about the said notepad and how to make a web site, it is really fun and exciting. I say to myself that I already pass to the world of ignorance.

New Year, New Me

January: A Brand New Start, A Better You

      New Year's Day. A fresh start. A new chapter in life waiting to be written. New questions to be asked, embraced and loved. Answers to be discovered and then lived in this trans formative year of delight and self-discovery. Today carve out a quiet interlude for yourself in which to dream, pen in hand. Only dreams give birth to change. Let our New Year's Resolution be this: we will be there for one another as fellow members of humanity, in the finest sense of the word. New year is consider to be the must important and wonderful holiday and the most celebrated days in the world, since that is the time for people to leave their haplessness in the back and get their fortune for the new year. The day is shaped by different customs and traditions. Each culture celebrates this holiday in its own unique way. The people start to prepare for the holiday at least one month in an advance. The preparation begins by buying presents and decorating houses. For the information of the body New Year is the time at which a new calendar year begins and the calendar's year count is incremented.

   
    January is a good month. Is it not God great that He classified time in months and years so that somewhere in between our life journey, we get another month start anew? It signifies a brand new start or maybe another chance to do certain things.Oh it's new year again! As a usual practice, many of us make New Year resolutions. We make list of things that must be done in the coming year for our desire to evade and not to repeat our wrong-doings in the preceding years. "Nobody is Perfect." This is a famous English adage. each of us commits mistake and is prone to sin. Nobody is free from failures. This has always been our alibi. Usually, other people notice and comment on our mistakes. Sometimes, we have the capacity to identify our own mistakes or negative traits but we seem to become ignorant or we have that prevailing pride, so we refuse to correct our own selves. Maybe you can hardly understand and forgive the least faults committed against you by other people. As my New Year resolutions, I will promise to myself that I will study harder in order to achieve my goals and aspirations in life, I will be more patient and more understanding next year. That's me when 2015 comes!

ESSENCE OF CHRISTMAS

Christmas And Me

Christmas waves a magic wand over this world, and behold, everything is softer and more beautiful. It is a season for kindling the fire for hospitality in the hall, the genial flame of charity in the heart.

     Christmas is the birth of Christ our Savior and Redeemer of our sins. It is the longest and happiest feast day of the year. It is the time of giving. It is the time for forgiveness. It is the spirit of sharing and giving to all friends and humanity.

     Usually when Christmas is fast approaching many people decorate their houses with lanterns and Christmas lights. Many people rejoice because they are thinking of the gifts that they are going to receive from their friends and relatives. Some people also take this chance to have a vacation in other places. It is also the time of family reunion especially if some members of the family is far from them.When this very special day is approaching everybody prepares food such as bibingka, suman and others. For me, Christmas is the spirit of receiving gifts from godparents. For them it is the time for wearing new clothes.

        For me Christmas has a deeper meaning. It means love. Love for our relatives and friends but most especially to our less fortunate brothers. This is the day when we bestow our forgiveness and love to our fellowmen. Christ was born only once. He grew up and became man, sacrificed himself on the cross, died and came back to life. This Christmas let us feel the joy of His rebirth and resurrection. Let us feel by Love by means of sharing with others.

     So now, for me Christmas is not all shopping, downing new clothes, preparing so many foods, giving expensive gifts. Above all Christmas means love-love for Jesus as reflected in our love for our fellowmen. And let us not do these only on Christmas day but all day of our lives.

"There are in nature neither rewards not punishments- there are consequences. Nature is but a name for an effect whose cause is God.

   

Weather is blue skies and puffy white clouds, torrential rains with gale force wind twisters;

flashes of lightning; or snow gently falling to the ground. The weather is the state of the atmosphere at any given time, it is experienced everywhere on earth, it varies considerably from place to place, day to day, and season   to season. The long term look at the weather in a place or region, the averaging of rainfall, the maximum and minimum temperatures is called climate. Climate in addition to the "averages" in the weather also   includes and frequencies of “extremes" in the weather. But the said climate is turned wild that is now Climate Change. Climate Change has long-since ceased to be a scientific curiosity, and is no longer just one of many environmental and regulatory concerns. It is a growing crisis with economic, health and safety, food production, security, and other      dimensions.   Climate change can be affected by natural factors, such as changes in volcanic activity, solar output, and the Earth’s orbit around the Sun. In terms of the Earth’s energy balance, these factors primarily influence the amount of incoming energy. Volcanic eruptions are episodic and have relatively short-term effects on climate. Changes in solar radiance have contributed to climate trends over the past century but since the Industrial Revolution, the effect of additions of greenhouse gases to the atmosphere has been about ten times that of changes in the Sun’s output. Climate change can also be caused by human activities, such as the burning of fossil fuels and the conversion of land for forestry and agriculture. Since the beginning of the Industrial Revolution, these human influences on the climate system have increased substantially. In addition to other environmental impacts, these activities change the land surface and emit various substances to the atmosphere. These in turn can influence both the amount of incoming energy and the amount of outgoing energy and can have both warming and cooling effects on the climate.  The dominant product of fossil fuel combustion is carbon dioxide, a greenhouse gas. The overall effect of human activities since the Industrial Revolution has been a warming effect, driven primarily by emissions of carbon dioxide and enhanced by emissions of other greenhouse gases.

     Humanity's highly developed ability to communicate verbally is our essence. Without our tremendous vocabulary, we'd perhaps be not much better off than gorillas and monkeys. Language is taken for granted since it is a basic characteristic. But, it is, for all its universality, among the most powerful of human tools. language informs, persuades, queries, expresses emotions, allows transmission of complex ideas and data, and its usage is often artful, whether prosaic or in verse. For me, we known Language from the time we enter in school.

     In our present society, English used widely. It has become the most popular language of communication between countries and in many fields of human endeavor. So it is important that we learn to use our International Language English. As the National Readers Month celebration theme "Outpouring our Hearts and Minds through Literacy and English Proficiency" it says that we should give our best to achieve Literacy which means, allowing us to express our thoughts and to make sense. it is an essential aspect of our everyday lives, the ability to read and write and Proficiency means the state of expertness. In short to be such a clever person through the language English.

     The only effective way of improving our English language is to use it as often as possible. In school, the only time when English is used is during English lessons. That certainly is not enough. So wherever possible we should use it with friends and teachers who will or can speak with us. Reading books, magazines and newspapers are good ways of improving our language speaking. On the whole they are grammatically correct. we may speak incorrect English and get away with it. Not so with printed words, they have to be correct, Through reading, we learn how to use correct English in writing and speaking, though at times we speak the broken one that many of us do. Watching television and listening to the radio are two more ways improving our speaking. English as it is spoken by English, Americans, Malaysians, and others are distinctly different. So we just continue to use it, that is hear, read, speak and write. Some of us only hear and read it but I will not be like those. I will try, pour my best to love and achieve fluency in English Language.

     All people are equal, it is not birth, it is virtue alone that makes difference – says the famous writer “Voltaire”. I am interrogating myself what is this “Equal Rights Equal Opportunity IS? According to my research EQUAL defines as the same in number, degree, quality or rank, while on the other hand  RIGHT defines as morally good and opportunities means a good chance for advancement and progress. In short this is a stipulation  that all people should be treated similarly, unhampered by artificial barriers or prejudices or preferences except when particular distinction can be explicitly justified. It turns out that advancing equal opportunity and economic empowerment is both morally right and good economics, because discrimination, poverty and ignorance restrict growth, while investments in education, infrastructure and scientific and technological research increase it creating more jobs and new wealth for all of us.

    One example of Equal Right Equal Opportunity is the GENDER EQUALITY among women. At the olden times discrimination towards women or girls or what is known as gender based discrimination is one of the most persuasive human rights violations. It severely limits the ability of women and the communities they live to protect and promote their health, life and others.

    Gender based discrimination is irrevocably connected to negative health outcomes for as women's. It's associated by poor health outcomes are often compounded by other forms of inequality related to socio - economic status ethnicity, sexual orientation, religious affiliation or geographical location. While  these challenges are imposing, and often encoded in normalized way of  living, Women's Organizations renews commitments to denounce violation in human rights and to challenge unequal systems, structures and practices that perpetuate health inequalities across the world. Gender Equality starts the global equalization of rights and opportunities.

Life does not have to be perfect to be wonderful. it can only be understood backwards; but it must be lived forwards. Life is full of challenges that we may face with our strong personality and confidence. In secondary our life is not too easy to handle and maintain, there are learning discoveries and there are also mistakes and problems in order to get it.

Based on my experience in entering my high school life I have gained friends that can comfort me a lot. They serves as my mother either or my father at school. They also gave me advice's that I can apply in my everyday life. So, I thanks them a lot of their kindness and care to me.

In fact this happy life of friendships, still the bad things did not give us exemption. Our friendships did not last because of wrong speculations to me and on them but sill the forgiveness reigns in our hearts so we are all decided to be friends but not such the moment we are all best of friends.

INTRAMURAL

Intramural: "Nourishing people to be physically fit, socially exposed, emotionally upgrade and mentally upright.  

       Intramural is the perfect time to highlight camaraderie, sportsmanship and vast talent. It is a fun, recreational, social and competitive on campus sports activity. It is also a great way to meet new people, reconnect with friends, and continue playing the sports you have grown to love and to develop. Intramural emphasize group spirit and enjoyment of sports. Through sports participation this seeks to promote wellness, to  encourage the wise of leisure time, to improve self-esteem, to stimulate other interests, and to provide students the opportunity to achieve individual ad team goals.

     Last Sept. 16-18 2014 the Ilocos Sur National High School held the opening ceremonies of the intramural at the school campus. I remember seeing everyone perked up, muses wearing the best sports attire end people with joy on their faces. Te ceremony began with the parade of athletes. 

     

Every year, one of the most eagerly anticipated activities during intramural is the Horror both, marriage both and movie both were students get amaze of. If we say Intramural I always bare in mind about sports, athletes, cheerers and the winners. As a high school student and belongs to the senior team I love intramural a lot because this is the only time that we will notice the different sports and enjoy it the way we do.

" I want to get the word out to people about Intramurals. not just the players who are semester-in and semester-out, but to the people who don,t think Intramurals is for them, but they're willing to give it a shot."

      We know that the key to educational progress lip in the hands of every teacher.Every teachers has a high expectation regarding the development of his students. If we say TEACHERS we usually bare in mind about course, lectures, new lessons quizzes and assignments; theses are the memories that we will not forget for. Teachers wants that his students would become self-reliant, productive, creative, and hard working individuals equipped with skills and competencies to respond to socio-economic development of the locality in particular and  to the country in general . Teachers are the most potent factor in education progress because they molds the youth to become the good citizens of the country. As Dr. Jose Rizal said " The youth is the hope of the fatherland." Through dedicated service by the teachers, they produces good quality of doctors, engineers, accountant, scientist, nurses and many professional as fruits of they expectations. Without the teachers the said professionals are not produce.

     Teacher is a hero doing all these things with so much fear and sweating climbing high and low mountains for data needed in justifying but hear no utterance of pains. Teachers are ready to fight and to lose his life for the rights of  the position it holds, favoring the dreams of our crying nation.

    Health and Wellness is the greatest of all physical possessions; these are the second blessing that we mortals are capable of - a blessing that money cannot buy. As Dan Buettner a writer and researcher says "A healthy life is no accident. It begins with good genes, but it also depends on good habits.

     When we get sick, they usually find an excuse to evade a visit to the doctor, and rely on other peoples advice instead, these also can lead to financial constraint. As the year's Science Theme, science clubbers wanted to inform to everyone that immunation is the key to everybody's wellness. Further information there is no such word like immunation it is the mix word immunization and ammunition. In this present times there are many different kinds of diseases spreading in our country, that's why we should be aware and be alert in preventing these diseases to spread. Choosing a healthy lifestyle is well within a person's power. A person can easily choose the kind of food he will eat and activity that he will engage in to keep himself healthy. However, oftentimes, this is where people are at fault because of lack of self-control and determination, and possibly because of ignorance. By deserving a healthy lifestyle, these fearsome diseases can be prevented, avoided or delayed.

     Science Clubbers aim to guard the health of every individual against sickness and diseases. The organization gives important information and knowledge's regarding the proper care of our immune system so that we can get rid of illnesses.

     Health for long life is not attained overnight, or by a months or a year's effort. It is in totality a way of life, designed to complete the whole facets  of health. But every journey always starts with the first step a commitment to be healthy.

     True heroes are those who live and die, and live again in people who believe in them. Heroes who lived and died but remained dead are not heroes but fossils. The lives of truest heroism are those in which there are no great deeds to look back upon. It is the  little things well done that counts to make up a successful and truly good life. The world's battlefield have been in the heart, chiefly more heroism has been displayed in the household and the closet, than on the most memorable battlefield of history.

     In today's society it is hard to know someone who another person can look up to as a hero. It takes special quality and person for others to know they can look up to and follow without worrying about lead astray. The modern day hero I have chosen is someone who not only is willing to lay his life down for another, but also is willing to fight for us. My mother, she is the head of a family of small connected senses that blend into your daily life to make it serene , healthy and pleasurable. Mother, mom, mommy, tell whatever you want she is a woman who has raised a child and given birth to a child.

      A mother is the truest friend we have, when trials heavy and sudden fall upon us; when a diversity takes place of prosperity; when friends desert us, when trouble thickens around us, still she cling to us, and endeavor by her kind precepts and counsel to dissipate the clouds of darkness, and cause peace to return to our hearts.

Filipino: susi sa Pagkakaisa ng mga Pilipino

      Taonang ginaganap dito sa Ilocos Sur National High School ang pagdiriwang nang Buwan ng Wika. Ibinabandera ngayon ng paaralan ang halaga ng Wikang Filipino bilang wikang nagbubuklod sa bansa. Wika ng Pagkakaisa ang tema ng pagdiriwang ngayong 2014.
     
  Bawat buhay,masaya't malungkot, magulo't makulay pinagkakaisa pa rin ng Wikang Filipino. Upang magkaisa tayo isang wika lamang ang magpapasya at magagamit natin sa pangaraw-araw. Normal lamang sa isang bansa ang tumaglay ng iba't-ibang dialekto sa iba't-ibang lugar lalong lalo na kung ito'y pulong-pulo ay hindi iisa ang kulturang gamit o wika. Lubhang mahirap magkaunawaan sa sitwasyong kagaya nito. Kaya naman napagdesisyonan ng mga kataas-taasan na magtalaga nang Pambansang Wika upang gamitin para mas mabisa ang pakikipagkomyunikasyon sa ibang katutubo ng bansa. Para na rin magkaunawaan ang mga kinatawan ng bawat rehiyon kung magkakaroon nang pagpupulong o sesyon  ng bawat mambabatas sa iba't ibang rehiyon. Ang unang pangulong nagsaad ng batas o alituntuning ito ay si Manuel L. Quezon kaya't siya'y tinaguriang "Ama ng Wikang Pambansa". Buhat noon at sa hinaharap ay ang wikang Filipino ang siyang ginagamit sa lahat ng antas ng paaralan, magmula kinder hanggang elementarya, kolehiyo at nang makatapos ng kurso, isang wika pa rin ang ginagamit.
     
   Gamitin, mahalin ang kinamulatang wika, balansehin ang paggamit ng wikang pambansa sa wikang dayuhan. Dapat mangauna sa ating puso ang sariling atin. Huwag ikahiya ang pinaghirapang makamtan ng ating mga bayani ito ang daan para sa ating pagkakaunawaan,instrumeto ito sa magandang kinabukasan. Magsama-sama magkaisa sa Wikang Filipino!

MY REFLECTION

My Reflection About my High School Life

     In our life there are so many things that we are going to encounter. Challenges that may face our personality and problems that may ruin our life. Life of a high school student is not easy, challenges are coming within each day, that we are going to face with our own faith and with our strong personality. But consequence of this, everyday we are also gaining learning discoveries.  

      The Learning discoveries that I gained is having a self confidence that will leads to me to the top. I also discover everyday lessons that we are encountering during our class that I can apply to my personal life. Everyday we have our ups and downs that teaches us about the reality of our life. In here we are like to be as a science subject that you need to discover something new.

     In each learning discoveries that we may gained there are problems and challenges that we encounter in order to get those. I got some low grades last time and I need to study hard in order to have high grades in the next quarter. I address this challenges in facing them and solve them in my own strength and ability. Moving on, I will becoming more responsible and discipline in all of my doings. 

The 5th State of the Nation Address of President Aquino

SONA 2014

     The SONA 2014 or the State of the Nation Address of our President was recently held in July 28, 2014 and the Indian National Congress. It was the 5th State of the Nation Address of President Benigno Simeon Cojuangco Aquino III our. Since it was the 5th time many Filipinos was pro and anti to the work of the president for the past year. They have their own opinion to voice out, about why They are very angry to Aquino or why They are proud of him. Many suggestions, many opinions, many hurt feelings, and many who are satisfied to the SONA 2014.

     In my own opinion, being a president is not very easy to do. For me Mr, President gave His best to make our country economically progressive. I am already contented or satisfied with His SONA Because he also many projects that have been signed and contribution to the Filipinos that we will not forget for. In His SONA he also talked about His foals and dreams for our country, and he made ​​all of it. Aquino But one problem is shouldnt increase the salary and bonus of the Government employees.

 Yearly Nutrition Month Theme

                 My insight about the theme " Kalamidad Paghandaan Gutom Malnutrisyon Mgapan" is truly needed by everyone. Nutrition are the essential in living a helthylife. I believe nutrition is the most important factor for maintaining and keeping good health. Healthy nutrition basically is eating healthy and balanced from all the basic food groups. Nutrition according to my research is also the science that investigates the relationship between psychological function and the essential elements of the food we eat. Disaster is just like chronic diseases and other diseases that are not fun to have, so learning about what types of food to watch out for and need is very important. Having a healthful lifestyle is being disease free and a healthy body. We need and don't need, but we hoping we are not high risk of anything. I think of myself as being healthy, but I'm not sure. I will try to eat food hat are beneficial to me, so I could live a healthful life and grow up disaster free.

             Greetings of love and peace.

         I am Graciella Lyka Aquino a fourth year high school student at Ilocos Sur National High School Vigan City. As a student, its an honor to write a letter for you. I just wanted to say that I really support your decision to make our country economically stable, peaceful and progressive. We cannot please everybody, they are people who are pro and anti to your administration and I know that this will not affect your leadership and plans in making our country a developed country.

            Just continue helping the poor, continue giving projects for the improvement of the different provinces and towns of our country let those corrupt people to pay their sins to the public, just continue to search them and punish them. You should find a way to help, to build again Tacloban, Let Tacloban to become progressive and economically stable town again. You should also give time to prevent drug using and drug selling all over the country, this will lessen the number of crimes in our country. I know sir, that you are doing your best for our country.

            We believe that you will help everyone of us. Do your responsibility the "Kayo ang Boss ko" not only at words but also in deed. Ret assured that we will always support your decision to push our country towards economic prosperity and stability. I hope after how many years Pinas will be like Japan. Thank you and More Power.
